i’ve been working for seattle parks and rec for a few years as a part time lifeguard and swim instructor. we needed new photos for the staff board, i jumped at the opportunity to take portraits of my fellow guards. the job requires us to be alert and deadly serious, but at heart we’re just a bunch of pool rats and chlorine cowboys that never grew out of the rec swim. without further ado, these are my coworkers.
